Preeclampsia is a familiar word surrounding pregnancy. I felt like I should know what it was and often told myself that I did; however, I really didn’t understand it until it happened to me.
According to the National Institue of Child Health, “Some estimates suggest that preeclampsia affects 2% to 8% of all pregnancies globally and about 3.4% in the United States.”
It is something that women should truly learn to identify. My hope is that we can share our stories and learn from our Do it Yourself parenting.
Here are my giant feet a little before and right after I gave birth. I kept looking down at my feet and saying, “Those can’t possibly be my legs!” Kankles galore! LOL
